The summer holidays are here and to be fair it has taken me a while to start writing this post as it feels like my body has started to go into relax mode. I’m very fortunate to have my new role where I can have the summer holidays off with my family and we are looking forward to having as much fun as possible!
Last summer we created our own bucket list, which the kids loved ticking off when we completed one of the activities so this year we are doing it again! The kids have set themselves 15 challenges to tick off over the next 6 weeks. They are:
We are very fortunate that Find Me A Gift have kindly sent the kids this amazing double ice cream maker which we are planning to try out in the coming weeks.
There are a few others which we have already put the plan in motion for such as the football game, I have brought tickets for Ethan and me to go watch his first Luton Town game.
The summer reading challenge has begun, we signed up for that at our local library last week and Kayleigh and Ethan are due a delivery from Little Cook Box next week where they will be cooking dinner for themselves! We can’t wait to see how they turn out.
With finances being tight we are trying to make sure that some of our days out are not breaking the bank, lots of museums near to us are free entry and if you take a picnic with you, it really can be a budget-friendly day out.
We have 6 weeks to complete our summer bucket list and I can’t wait to see how much we can get through and what else we can do. What are your plans for the summer holiday?
