Lingerie, it is the one thing as a lady you just kind of buy most of the time without really thinking about it. Many of us have our favourite styles and tend to stick to them for a long time! After having kids most of us now go for comfort over style as it is practical, however, having lingerie on that you love and looks amazing does make you feel amazing too.
Have you, however, take a look at just how many choices are on the market lately? Let’s take knickers, for example, there are bloomers, thongs, Brazilian, high leg, shorts and probably a lot more than I have mentioned. Then you get started on the bra section and there is probably even more choice on offer and sometimes it can get a little overwhelming when out shopping, I think this is why many of us stick to our favourite styles for so long.
Did you know though that lingerie has not actually been around that long? Belle Lingerie has been celebrating the #DecadesOfLingerie by taking a step back in time to look at the changes that have happened over the decades. Each trend has added a little bit to the next with the current trend still taking from the ’90s.
One thing I have learnt from the infographic is how lucky we are today with our choices, I know there is a lot on the market but it does allow us to make choices for each one of us. For example bra’s, everyone is different. Some of us like full coverage with underwire, others prefer non-wired bras for a bit more comfort and freedom. If it wasn’t for the changes over the decades we really would not be where we are today with the choices we have!
