#TheOrdinaryMoments – Our 1st Wedding Anniversary – 12/04/2016

Last week was busy as per usual but it was also pretty special.

Somehow we had managed to blink and a whole year from our wedding day had passed.

I know i seem to say it all the time but where has the last year gone?

I can still remember the build up to our big day, the night before having our last meal together before coming Mr & Mrs, the morning of our wedding where I had breakfast with Kayleigh in our huge suite room before having Ethan come join us for a little while.

It may be distant memories to most but to me I can remember so much of the day (bar the blurry bit in the middle where I had skipped lunch then drank about 6 glasses of champagne!) like it was yesterday.

The one thing I will always be grateful for is our photographer Jay Emme as her pictures are the memories that may become a little hazy over time, every time I look at them I find something else that I may have missed on the day or they remind me of the little details that we put into the day. One day I will get all the pictures put into a beautiful album that she does so I can get the book out to show people all the time!

So to be waking up on Tuesday saying happy anniversary felt a little weird! The kids were back at school that day but Daddy Vs Work and I had the day together.

We didn’t plan to do anything extravagant, just the two of us, a spot of lunch then a wander around the local shops for things to start decorating our house.

It was perfect though, it’s not very often that we get to spend time together just the two of us as there is always something going on but this time it was just the two of us, in a little pub and hardly any phone signal. It may have only been a few hours but it was perfect!
