Our weekly meal plan – 10/04/17

A bit late this week but I have a good excuse!

Last week I went in for my second operation on my other foot this time. Although I have the pain under control this time however I am struggling more this time round. I seem to have either picked up a bug or the amount of tablets combined with the anesthetic has giving me a poorly tummy and I am exhausted.

I’m hanging on in there though and hoping to start feeling a bit brighter soon.

This of course has had a knock on effect though as I’m not eating properly and my sleep pattern is all over the place. Thankfully I have an smart phone as I am using it to keep up to date with the latest news and try to stay sane!

So this weeks meal plan will be simple food for Daddy Vs Work to cook that will be kind on my stomach.

Monday –

Freezer food – We wasn’t up to much today so just went for bits from the freezer!

Tuesday –

Meatballs and pasta – Musclefood delivered today (I went for a create your own bundle this time) and their meatballs are delicious. So these will be put with a simple tomato based sauce and pasta.

Wednesday –

Chinese takeaway – I’m hoping I am up to eating this! It is our wedding anniversary and as I am still housebound for at least another week Daddy Vs Work is heading out to get our favourite Chinese dinner.

Thursday –

Sausage and salami stew – I came across a recipe on the Tesco food site which I have adjusted to take out the bits we don’t like!

Friday –

Jacket potatoes – Simple and quick, one thing we can have with whatever we want on the top.

Saturday –

Rude boy kebabs – We saw these made by Aaron Craze years ago and the recipe is on a scrap of paper, these are delicious. Perfect for a Saturday night treat.

Sunday –

Roast lamb – Easter weekend and no doubt chocolate will appear on the menu but I’ve seen that lamb is on offer so as a treat we will have a roast leg of lamb.

In the coming weeks as I get back on my feet I am going to be tackling our food bill and what we are having for dinner. I’m trying to create a family cook book of our favourite meals so as the kids grow up they can take their own copy!

Of course as I get to cook these I will pop the recipes up on the blog 🙂
