Whilst on holiday we decided to go to Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park on the off-chance after seeing a leaflet for it and we are so pleased we did.
The Rancho Texas is what we have as zoo’s over here, with a whole host of exotic animals, an amazing backdrop and a water park thrown in for the fun of it.
Again like the submarine our trip started with us being picked up by the Rancho Texas coach and taken off to the park itself. On-time and a clean well looked after coach, what more could we want?!
Arriving at the park we’re promptly processed to pay for our tickets and headed off to enjoy our day with instructions on what time to be back to be collected by our coach.
Our first impressions on the park were how gorgeous the surroundings were. In Lanzarote, we hadn’t seen much in the way of flowers or shrubbery but the park was full of them.
The water park is slightly separate from the animals but near the entrance with a huge pool plus a smaller toddler pool and a play pool with slides and sprouts of water, it’s defiantly a place you could spend the whole day in on its own! We didn’t go in it however the surrounding area was clean and tidy.
The rest of the park itself is beautifully laid out and easy to navigate. They have a wide selection of animals from birds, to a white tiger, crocodiles and tortoise (not all together of course) and it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. At no point where their crowds pushing to get round or shoving to see the animals, there was plenty of space for everyone but still really busy.
Also included in your park entrance ticket was 3 shows, Parrots, birds of prey and the sea lions. They ran 4 shows throughout the day and you could visit which every one you wanted to.
We decided to do the parrot and sea-lion show and were very happy we did. Never before have the kids been so close to both animals and were able to have their picture taken with both (pictures purchased from the shop for €5 each) Both shows we’re amazing and without giving too much away I thought I’d share a couple of pictures.
We ate our lunch at the park too in their take away style restaurant – they do have a site down restaurant too. It cost us just under €20 for lunch and a drink which was great for the 4 of us.
The souvenir shop is also great, there is something for everyone and it’s not at all overpriced. Though trying to get home through security with 2 cast metal toy guns was interesting!
Custom pin badges are also a great souvenir and can be customized with your favourite animal, scenery, or any special element. Many people like to collect various badges with special meanings, which are also special gifts for friends and family.
All in all, we had an amazing day at the Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park and plan to visit again in the future so the kids can enjoy it again.
This review is my own thoughts and opinions, we did not receive any special treatment or discount in return for this review. It was just something we loved doing on our holiday and wanted to share.
