Aims and goals – August 2022

It’s that time of the month when I take a little time to reflect on the aims and goals I set last month and then try to set some again for the next. However, it just feels like yesterday that I wrote that post and I have just not had any time to get anything done.

I feel like that hamster in the pet shop, just going round and round on my hamster wheel, getting nowhere fast. With only a few months of the year left and some big goals to reach, I need to knuckle down and get back on track with many things. Time doesn’t wait for anyone and currently, it feels as though it is running away from me.

Aims and goals – August 2022

Let’s start now though and look back at last month.

Recap on the aims and goals for July 2022

Personal goals –

  • Lose 6lb – I have not been on plan properly at all, we are working on the garden a lot over the last few weeks and I’ve been grazing. It is a new month though and I want to get back on it properly and may even start working out!
  • Plan for summer relaxation – No plans yet, but we are only getting started.
  • Clear £1000 off the debt – Nope.

Blog goals –

  • Blog more regularly – This has not happened at all, there are plans in place but nothing has happened with it.
  • Plan the blog birthday giveaways and launch – All launched, though it was a little bit of a rush in the end.
  • Get 2 weeks ahead – Not even 2 days ahead at the moment.

It was not my best month, but I am really focused this month on making sure I am ready for the return to work and back on track for the rest of the year.

Let’s see what the goals are this month.

Aims and goals for August 2022 –

Personal goals –

  • Reach my Club 10 target at Slimming World – I have a goal to reach it this month, which means I would have lost 10% of my starting weight. I still have quite a few pounds to go so I need to get focused.
  • Have some family days – These could be out and about or at home, playing some cards or watching movies. We won’t be going away this year due to working on the garden but we can still have fun.
  • Clear £1000 off the debt – No excuses, this is the minimum I want to clear this month. I have plans for the future and the more equity and free cash we can get the better!

Blog goals –

  • Plan blog content till the end of September – I might not have it written but I want to get the content in the planner so I can start focusing on the work I want to do.
  • Be at least a week in advance – I am going to be realistic and know that 2 weeks is a bit ambitious but if I can get a week ahead, I can then focus on writing 2 posts a day to get ahead even more.
  • Start thinking of Christmas content – It is only August but I really need to get ahead of the game this year with our Christmas content.

Aims and goals – August 2022

This month’s focus is more about getting ready that actually getting work done. I need to really start with the aim to get myself organised and ready, so then I just need to type. Sometimes this is easier said that done but if I can get myself that little bit more organised like this then I am already more ahead of myself than I am currently. Sometimes life can get a little overwhelming and it is just about taking time to step back this month and get the mind focused back on the job that is coming up!
