Meal Planning Monday – 01/02/2016

This year I’m trying to be more organised and save money and to me the best place to start is with our dinners!

I’ve lost count the amount of times we’ve changed our minds and gotten lazy so picked something else or had a takeaway.

So this week we have taken delivery of another order of meat from Muscle Food which has been frozen in portion and I’ve stocked up on the basic ingredients for us to have different meals with.

Staples in my cupboard are :

  • Spices – We have wide range including, chilli, paprika, cumin, coriander, onion powder and garlic powder to name a few.
  • Tinned tomatoes – these get used in so many dishes and we always have them in the cupboard
  • Dried pasta & rice – You can always come up with a leftover dish as long as you have something such as pasta or rice to bulk it out a little.

I order my shopping to arrive over the weekend so we are ready for our working week.

Here is our menu for the week:

Monday –  Tacos with salad

Tuesday – Meatballs and spaghetti

Wednesday – Fish, new potatoes and veg (fish is dependant on what’s on offer)

Thursday – Chicken Wraps

Friday – Treat night, we have a takeaway and movie with the kids

Saturday – Slow cooker chicken salad and rolls

Sunday – Tuna pasta bake

So that’s dinner sorted for the week!
