Welcome back to another meal plan.
Firstly I feel the need to apologies as the last 3 posts have been meal plans, that means I’ve not blogged anything else in between. Technically that is not true as I do have some posts in the draft to come. However, over the last few weeks, I’ve just found it difficult to type anything. Work is hectic, life is busy and by the time the weekend rolls around, I just want to be in my PJ’s chilling. This week will be different though!
I have 2 posts coming up in the next couple of days and plenty of content other than that to share. I just need to find a little more time to dedicate to it.
Back to this weeks meal plan though, thankfully we had food in the house, so any substitutions or missing items were not felt too much. We did buy some tins of soup and a few frozen pizzas, so should one of us go down with anything we have some quick meals to make. Other than that though, we are pretty much set should we have to go into isolation.
This is not from bulk buying though, just bits and pieces we already had. Granted they may not be the most exciting meals in the world if we get to the bottom of our cupboard, however, we are in a position where we would not be going hungry and for that, I am very grateful.
Our meal plan last week was not the best so I am looking to stick to this the best we can this week.
Our meal plan – 16/03/20
Monday –
Pizza – Quick from the oven tonight as a lot was going on.
Tuesday –
Salmon, new potatoes and green beans – Looking forward to this as we’ve not had salmon for a while.
Wednesday –
Bacon, squash and sweet potato stew – I came across this recipe and it looked delicious.
Thursday –
Tacos – Help yourself and enjoy tacos!
Friday –
Chilli con Carne – Again this is a quick meal as we are out and about after work tonight.
Saturday –
Katsu curry – We’ve not had this for a while so looking forward to it.
Sunday –
Lamb shanks – We didn’t have these last week as we enjoyed sausage and mash instead!
We need to start sticking to our meal plans and cutting our weekly shop (though that may be forced on us anyway with the current supply situation!). I look forward to getting back in the kitchen and cooking good home-cooked meals.
