Good morning and welcome back to another meal plan.
January has just been one of those months where we have just not had time to think and then got into our lazy habits when it comes to our meals! We did have our Gusto box last week and although the meals were nice, I don’t think they were as nice as the ones from our Hello Fresh boxes. That being said, if I got an offer to have a few boxes at half price, I would order them again.
This week we are back on Slimming World and I am trying to get a little more organised in our meals and eating habits. Too often recently I have been reaching for convenience food or snacks and the waistline is not agreeing with it! It also makes me feel really sluggish in myself so I am going back to basics with Slimming World online like I have done previously and look forward to feeling a bit more normal.
It is not a real effort when it comes to following the plan, it is all about eating the right things and cooking from scratch without the additional additives that can be put into processed food. Now I am going to be the first to admit that I don’t always stick to the plan perfectly, last time we still had a takeaway night once a week yet even with that I still found myself feeling so much better. If you have any questions on it, feel free to read my previous post on it or pop them in the comments below.
For now, though, let’s get back to this weeks meal plan.
Our weekly meal plan – 24/01/22
Monday –
Peri-peri chicken, rice and salad – I am trying out a Nando’s spice mix bag that I picked up on offer in Asda, I am looking forward to this.
Tuesday –
Chilli Con Carne – Packed full of vegetables and beans, this is a great dish to have on Slimming World and very filling too.
Wednesday –
Cajun chicken pasta – I have never tried this before but very much looking forward to seeing how it comes out as it is one of the recommended dishes by those who have done Slimming World.
Thursday –
Oven-baked cod with new potatoes and vegetables – Sometimes it is the simple dishes that taste the best and that is exactly what this dish is!
Friday –
Takeaway – End of week treat!
Saturday –
Omelettes and chips – Super easy to do but delicious.
Sunday –
Roast or stew – I am not sure what I am in the mood for yet but will decide at the end of the week before I place my shopping order.
As you can see, there is no need to not have what you want when you are following Slimming World, it is all about making the right choices. Plenty of fresh fruit and veg, alongside home-cooked meals and you, are on to a winner. I am just hoping that I can get back into better habits with minimal effort over the coming weeks.
Alongside the better habits, we are also updating our food blog with lots of delicious recipes, Kayleigh has been busy helping us in the kitchen creating some real sweet treats, most of them are not Slimming World friendly but still delicious!
