Welcome back to another weekly meal plan! It is the Summer holidays here and it is a very much-needed break.
We are easing ourselves in gently to the break and have plans for a lazy week as we have a Hello Fresh box this week and next to enjoy. I had a gift voucher which I could turn into a box for 4 meals for 4 people, for 2 weeks. So with the break here, I decided to give myself a little break with the planning and shopping a bit and just have some of our meals delivered.
I do enjoy the Hello Fresh deliveries, I just find them full price a little expensive, so only use them when I have an offer. If you would like to try them, I have an offer code where you can get 60% off your first box and then 25% off for 10 weeks, click through this link (please note this is an affiliate link and I will earn some credit if you purchase through this link)
I am not sure how this week’s selection will go down with the fussy eaters but they are going to have to get on board!
Last week, we were mostly on plan but I did a full roast yesterday which was a bad call as it was so warm in the end. I am going to stick to my meatballs option this week and hope that I remember to stick to what I put on the plan when I do my shopping.
Let’s get back to what we have cooking this week and then we can look forward to the coming weeks and plans.
Our weekly meal plan – 24/07/23
Monday –
Hoisin beef tacos – This is one of the Hello Fresh meals, I just thought it would make a nice change to our standard tacos that we have.
Tuesday –
Classic New York-style loaded sausages and wedges – We have had this meal from them before and it is delicious but I chose it again to keep the peace as I know it will be eaten by everyone in the house.
Wednesday –
Spicy creamy cajun chicken pasta – I am looking forward to this however I usually use chicken breast but this is the thigh, so I am intrigued to see if I actually notice the difference. Hopefully, a chicken pasta dish will go down well, however, who knows?
Thursday –
Italian-style sloppy joe ciabatta – We have never eaten sloppy joes, so I don’t know how popular this will be. It looks lovely though, so I am hopeful.
Friday –
Freezer food – Time to use up some of those leftovers that we have in the freezer.
Saturday –
Tuna pasta bake- It is back on the menu and will be popular.
Sunday –
Spaghetti & meatballs – You can’t beat delicious homemade meatballs, looking forward to this. I may serve it with garlic bread if I am pushing the boat out!
We have another Hello Fresh box next week and then it will be back to me cooking what I can come up with. I just want to make sure that we are starting to eat a little differently as I am finding that we are limited to about 10 meals which we rotate the majority of the time. Don’t get me wrong, these are lovely at times but other times it can get a little boring having the same dishes, day in, day out.
