Good morning and welcome back to our last meal plan of 2018.
Surprisingly I have managed to share our meal plans for the whole of 2018 which has been pretty surprising really!
This meal plan is a bit of old and new.
The old will be the leftovers of the festive season and the yummy food that comes with that, the new will be slightly healthier options that are coming in the new year.
We are all feeling a little sluggish and uncomfortable with all the lovely food we have eaten recently. Well, I would like to say recently however the reality has been since the tree has gone up we have enjoyed far too much food!
So, we are looking forward to getting some home cooked meals made and just back to basics with the food.
Here is what we are planning for our last meal plan of 2018:
Monday –
Dinner out – We are with friends for New Year’s Eve so it will be dinner at theirs tonight.
Tuesday –
Party food – I don’t tend to make a big fuss on New Years Day so plan to pop out and get some party food so we can enjoy a picky dinner.
Wednesday –
Steak and chips – We have been using our Breville Halo more over Christmas and plan to make some homemade chunky chips with this!
Thursday –
Lemon chicken with Mediterranean veg and rice – This is such a simple dish to make but so filling at the same time.
Friday –
Tex mex chilli – Packed full of vegetables and beans, perfect to kick start a bit of healthy eating.
Saturday –
Gammon with chips and peas – Again another easy meal to do but very tasty.
Sunday –
Slow cooker chicken – Cooking your chicken in the slow cooker is easy but also great to ensure you get all the meat! I will serve ours with potatoes in the halo and lots of vegetables.
