Wise Words Wednesday with Morgan

It’s time for another blogger to take to the hot seat this week with our Wise Words Wednesday feature. Today we have the lovely Morgan who blogs over at Morgan Woods, all about their journey to being debt free and eventually financially free.

As with lots of our bloggers, they all have inspiring stories on what encouraged them to start blogging and where they have got to today and Morgan is no different.

Time to hand you over to Morgan.

Tell us a little bit about you & your blog:

My name is Morgan I live with my 2 children, partner and our 2 cats. I blog at http://morganmwoods.com which is essentially our journey out of debt (which we have now achieved), saving for our first home and eventually becoming financially free. I write about all the ways in which I make and save money with my family. You can usually find me on instagram and twitter chatting about my recent bargains and what we’ve been up to.

What inspired you to start blogging?

Last year we got ourselves into a financial pickle, we have worked really hard to get out of debt and save for our future. I understand there are other families in similar situations and I just want to help them live better too. I want to show other families how they can get out of debt or start saving for a big expense.

What has been your highlight of blogging?

I have only been blogging for a few months now but the highlight so far has to be meeting other bloggers. I was very apprehensive that I would be very alone but that isn’t the case. There are so many other bloggers out there and they are so kind and helpful.

Is there anything you have learnt about blogging which you wish you knew when you started out?

To be entirely honest I didn’t know anything about blogging when I started out. I went into it with the intention of learning everything! So far I’m really happy with my journey.

Bloggers sometimes get a lot of stick however many work really hard and are reaping the rewards, what has been the most rewarding part of blogging for you?

The emails and twitter/Instagram messages I get from readers letting me know how much I’ve helped them. I really enjoy replying to my readers and finding out what they would find most helpful. Knowing I’ve helped others is the most rewarding part of blogging.

What would be your 1 tip you would give all new bloggers starting out?

Don’t give up! Keep blogging, keep writing, keep promoting your blog, just keep going until you hit your goals.

Who do you find inspiring to read/watch in the blogging world?

Emma at https://emmadrew.info is fantastic I find her so inspiring, I am slightly addicted to her youtube channel right now! Katy from https://katykicker.com is another blogger I love to read, I really enjoy seeing what she’s been up to. Both of these bloggers give me so much money saving/making inspiration.

Lastly – do you have any big plans/dreams for your blog in the next 12 months?

Over the next 12 months the goal is to make blogging my full time income. I love the freedom it gives me as a mum, I love working for myself and I love helping my readers.
