Good morning and welcome to our Christmas meal plan!
Everything is a little slower around here as we are now on the Christmas break and to be honest, we are enjoying doing not a lot of anything! After 4 months of busy work and no breaks due to the building work, we have decided that the next 2 weeks off are all about that slow, lazy life. The kids think it is amazing, lazing around in their PJ’s whilst eating breakfast, lunch and dinner of our normal routine times!
So, back to this week’s meal plan, of course, it is all about Christmas dinner, however, I hate to waste. We will be using up leftover turkey etc for a few days to make sure nothing is wasted.
Our meal plan – 23/12/19
Monday –
Fish and chips – Out of the freezer and super simple.
Tuesday –
Takeaway – We always have a takeaway on Christmas eve, all the prep is done for the big day so now we sit back and put our feet up.
Wednesday –
Turkey and all the trimmings – It is all about the food today, with 3 courses and plenty of chocolate to be consumed!
Thursday –
Cold turkey and salad – Using up some turkey alongside the salad, pickles, cheese … yummy!
Friday –
Leftover turkey pie – I love leftover pie as it is a great way to use up what did not get eaten.
Saturday –
Chickpea and sweet potato curry – After consuming so much rich food this week I am looking forward to this!
Sunday –
Pork chops and mash – I have some pork chops in the freezer I keep meaning to use up.
This week is really dominated by our Christmas dinner and it plays into so many other meals this week. Whatever you may be doing for Christmas this year, we hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
