Good morning and welcome back to this weeks meal plan.
Building work is well under the way in our house so our mealtimes are a little bit out of routine to normal. We are eating around the work being carried out which is fine, I’m just planning meals that require little effort once it is in the oven and can keep nicely should things be delayed a little.
I am pleased the weather has cooled down a little though as it was making it really difficult to eat or sleep in that heat, however, I wouldn’t mind a bit of sunshine for the summer holidays though!
Here is our meal plan for this week.
Our meal plan – 29/07/19
Monday –
Pulled pork and wedges – Using our slow cooker recipe as we didn’t have this last week.
Tuesday –
Honey and mustard chicken tray bake and vegetables – Trying something a little different tonight
Wednesday –
Spaghetti bolognaise – Simple but tasty classic!
Thursday –
Chicken pie – It has been a long time since I’ve made a chicken pie so looking forward to this.
Friday –
Cottage pie – Easy to make and then just going to leave it to cook in the oven whilst work is done
Saturday –
Takeaway pizza – A thank you for all the hard work that was done this week.
Sunday –
Roast – This will be dependant on the offers this week but likely to be roast chicken.
Last week we popped to Costco and stocked up on the essentials for the next few months so I’m hoping that combined with the meal planning, our shopping bill will reduce. I am still working on the cost of our shopping, as it may not be excessive, it is still more than I would like to spend.
